About Our Directors

Jocelyn Connolly

Jocelyn has had a long career in the field of education. She received her undergraduate degree in educational philosophy from Brown University and went on to graduate school in teacher education at the University of San Francisco. Thereafter, she taught elementary school at the primary level for over a decade at both public and private schools throughout the Bay Area. She came to The Kids Place to fulfill a lifelong dream to enter the field of early childhood education and to be able to build a school in her own educational vision. Over the years, she has expanded and now oversees three Kids Place campuses. Jocelyn is a mother to three boys, two Kids Place graduates and one pre-kindergartener who attend the Kids Place in Corte Madera.

Jocelyn currently serves as the executive director of all three Kids Place campuses.

Nancy Martling

Nancy started as a teacher in the Kids Place infant room and worked her way up to head pre-kindergarten teacher over the years. Early childhood education is a second career for Nancy, who has her MA in museum science from San Francisco State University. Upon beginning work at The Kids Place, Nancy embraced it fully and has completed early childhood extensive coursework. As a qualified director and beloved teacher Nancy was the obvious choice to assist in an administrative role when Jocelyn recently had her third child.

Nancy has been the director of The Kids Place since 2007.
