Corte Madera - Infant Program
3
months – 18 months
Our goal in the infant program is to create a safe, caring
and nurturing environment for your infant. In keeping low teacher to child ratios
and utilizing the use of primary caregivers in the classroom, we create close and
personal bonds with each child. This personalized care helps us to develop a program
and schedule based on each individual child’s needs.
At the Kids Place, we understand the importance in catering
to the needs of the “whole” child, providing activities that stimulate all areas
of development, (cognitive, social, language, and gross motor and small motor).
Socialization is encouraged and facilitated by teachers through informal group activities
and play. We foster creativity in the children through various art projects
as well as through movement and music! As part of our goal to promote “self-help”
skills with the children, we utilize baby sign language within our room and encourage
the use of it at home as well! The environment is structured to provide a variety
of experiences, minimize conflict, encourage exploration and meet developmental
needs.
Open communication with parents about developmental
needs and daily activities is kept with the help of daily information sheets. We
aim to create close and trusting relationships with the families as well as the
children, and hold many fun activities and family gatherings throughout the year.
